We begin at Ein Gedi, a true oasis in the desert featuring spectacular waterfalls, varied landscapes, and flowing brooks at the foot of the cliffs, and is home to ibexes and rock hyraxes. Beyond the natural beauty lies a rich history, laid out in the Bible. A master storyteller, Levi will be equipped with a copy of the Bible and take you on a journey to bring the incredible history to life and understand why David came here to hide from King Saul.

Our next stop will take us to the Dead Sea, both one of earth's saltiest bodies of water and the lowest point on earth. Because of the high concentration of salt, the water is much denser than plain fresh water, meaning that our body weight is lighter and we can enjoy floating and the benefits of the mineral rich mud with views of the Jordan Mountains. Showers are available on site.

The Ein Gedi entrance fee is 28 NIS/8 USD/7 Euro

The private Dead Sea beach is 35 NIS / 10 USD

Ein Gedi is wheelchair accessible.

Levi Simon is an IDF reservist, certified in first aid and an experienced hiker with vast knowledge of foraging and navigation. He is fully equipped to guide you through the area safely.

Please make sure you bring snacks and drinks and always have personal travel insurance if arriving from overseas.
