Start Point: Jerusalem

Duration: 8-10 hours, from 8am - 5pm minimum

Route:

1. Masada

2. Dead Sea

These two famous sites are a popular combination and touch both ends of the spectrum of what makes the land of Israel special.

Our first stop will be the UNESCO site of Masada. Masada is an ancient fortress in southern Israel’s Judean Desert. It's on a massive plateau overlooking the Dead Sea. The existence of this 2,000-year-old archeological site is a testament to the strength of the Jewish zealots against the Roman army. It is a symbol of the ancient kingdom of Israel and its violent destruction. This preserved Roman battlefield really brings to life the reality of the incredible final standoff. Prepare for your perspective of the desert to be forever changed.

Our next stop will take us to the Dead Sea, both one of earth's saltiest bodies of water and the lowest point on earth. Because of the high concentration of salt, the water is much denser than plain fresh water, meaning that our body weight is lighter and we can enjoy floating with views of the Jordan Mountains.
